Today to 50 Years
The horizon we plan towards
You feel the weight of the decision, and keep circling back to the same questions:
- What's the right way to structure this for my family's future?
- Do we keep the business in the family, or is it time to sell?
- How do we divide things fairly when everyone's situation is different?
- What happens to my lifestyle if this settlement goes ahead?
- What about tax, superannuation, and the things I haven't thought of?
You don't have to work this out alone.
We understand the challenge and the emotion behind these decisions whether it's a business handover, a separation, or an inheritance.
We provide you the clarity and modelling that helps you make confident, long-term decisions with real financial security behind them.

Â
Helping clients make decisions with confidence not guesswork.

What makes us different
We were founded by advisers who saw the same problem repeat itself: families making major financial decisions based on advice that was technically correct, but disconnected from how they'd actually live afterwards.

Absolute Strategy exists to close that gap.
Most advice processes focus on the transaction at a point in time:
dividing assets, ownership structures, ticking compliance boxes.

We focus on what those decisions actually mean in real life.
We sit on your side of the table, providing objective guidance shaped by your family's goals and circumstances. Our only interest is the quality of the outcome.
Independent
Coordinated
We work inside your existing advice team, alongside your lawyer, accountant and other advisers.
Grounded in Reality
Every recommendation is tested against real cash flow, lifestyle and longevity not just a balance sheet.
Keep your family's goals at the centre.
Let's coordinate every decision around what's important to you.
1. Let's talk
A confidential 30-minute conversation to understand your situation and whether we're the right people to help. No paperwork needed.
2. Connect the dots
Coordinate advice across your financial, business and family affairs.
3. Move forward with confidence
Make informed decisions knowing every piece is working together.

CASE STUDIES
Real scenarios, real outcomes.

SUCCESSION PLANNING · FAMILY GOVERNANCE
Third-Generation Business Handover
A family manufacturing business faced its first cross-generational handover in 40 years. We modelled three succession structures side by side, identifying a significant cash flow shortfall before it was locked in, and revised the structure to preserve the founders' retirement income.
Outcome: a workable ownership path for the next generation, without unsettling the founders' security.
FINANCIAL STRATEGY DURING SEPARATION
Preserving Lifestyle Through Separation
Two settlement options appeared "equal" on paper. Scenario modelling showed one carried significant liquidity risk within seven years. Working alongside the client's family lawyer, we provided the evidence base for a revised negotiation position.
Outcome: a settlement structure that protected long-term lifestyle sustainability.
FAMILY WEALTH · LEGACY PLANNING
Preserving Family Harmony While Preparing for Transition
A family with three adult children and a shared family office needed a clearer decision-making structure. We facilitated the design of a family constitution and formal board process.
Outcome: a workable ownership path for the next generation, without unsettling the founders' security.
ESTATE PLANNING · WEALTH STRATEGY
Structuring an Intergenerational Transfer
Ahead of a significant estate transfer, we provided the strategic structuring advice later implemented by the family's solicitor — balancing tax efficiency, fairness across beneficiaries, and long-term protection.
Outcome: a structure the whole family understood and trusted, before a single document was drafted.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you get in touch
1
How do I get started?
Start with a confidential discussion. We'll talk through your situation, what you're trying to decide, and whether our strategic approach is the right fit — no obligation.
2
Do you work with my existing lawyer or accountant?
Yes. That's how we prefer to work. We sit inside your existing advice team, coordinating with your lawyer, accountant and other advisers rather than replacing them, so everyone is working from the same strategic view.
3
Do you only work with divorce and separation cases?
No. Separation is one of four advisory areas. The majority of our work is in succession, estate planning, family governance and long-term wealth strategy for families and business owners.
4
Where are you based?
Our office is in Sydney (Suite 104/4 Bridge St), and we advise families and business owners Australia-wide — in person and remotely.
5
Is Absolute Strategy a financial advice licensee?
No. Absolute Strategy is a management consultancy and does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). Where licensed financial product advice is required, we refer clients to Absolute Wealth Advisers.
